Geocache Description:

Another cache to celebrate the movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople and its Soundtrack.

"I didn't choose the skux life, the skux life chose me"

The cache is hidden on David Street, Bayswater.

It's connection to the movie is Dave Dobbyn, whose song is heard, when after being out in the NZ bush for a couple of weeks, everyone is going a little camp crazy. Ricky is seen dancing with his imaginary walkman, moving to the beats of DD Smash, and Dave Dobbyn singing Magic What She Do (released in 1985).

The original music was written by the New Zealand-based band Moniker, comprising composer/musicians Lukasz Pawel Buda, Samuel Scott, and Conrad Wedde (previously members of The Phoenix Foundation).

This article, and Film Score Review gives more information about the music used in the movie.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the films release in March 2026, the movie will return to the big screen, and at the same time a new record/vinyl release of the original music. Wellington composers Sam Scott and Lukasz Buda share memories on the making of the soundtracks music in this article.

Some of the songs can be heard below (Full list of the soundtrack can be found on the Related Web Page link):

See the hint, you will need to be stealthy, as its another tricky hide with little cover.

Remember to collect the number for the BONUS cache.
