Geocache Description:

A traditional cache hidden on the Northern side of Kit Hill Country Park, a World Heritage Site for mining and part of the Tamar Valley A.O.N.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). It has always been one of my favourite places to walk and this cache is off a track I often walk. Kit Hill was given to Cornwall Council by the Duchy of Cornwall for the people of Cornwall in 1985, to celebrate the birth of Prince William.

To get to this cache you can park (free) in the car park at the base of the 'Incline' on the B3567, Kelly Bray to Sevenstones road. There is a brown sign at the car park entrance with 'Kit Hill Incline' on it. Of course you could enjoy a walk from any of the other Kit Hill car parks, there are numerous tracks to get you across to the cache. From the 'Incline' car park you will find the gate you want to go through is padlocked. Please don't climb it. Go up the incline a short way and you will find a gate on your left. Let the GPS do the rest. There are ponies grazing the heath and when wet the tracks get muddy so good footwear is advisable. It is also a popular dog walking area so be aware of muggles. Once you have found the cache (good luck with that) please put it back as found. Tweezers are advisable. This cache is placed with the kind permission of the Country Park Ranger and complies with both the Country Park and geocaching guidelines.
