En plein coeur de la commune d'Uccle, le square Coghen est un exemple unique de lotissement moderniste à Bruxelles réunissant architecture cubique et Art Déco. Il a été tracé en 1929 sur un terrain marécageux qui appartenait à la propriété Coghen. La physionomie actuelle du square résulte de deux plans de lotissements successifs réalisés en 1931 et en 1935.
