I attended GHMGC- Annual Christmas Micro Cache Gift Exchange 2016 yesterday. There were many people there, lots of smiling faces on young and old alike. A wonderful event attended by so many amazing folks.
As part of the event, we get to pick a micro from a stocking to find out who our Secret Santa might be. The gifts exchanged are usually simple gifts that are creating by each CO. Yesterday I had the great fortune of picking a micro and my Secret Santa was dragonfly61. I left the event, grabbed my nearby gift and headed home. I placed the gift in my cache lab and did not think much about it.
Late yesterday afternoon I decided to open the gift and to my amazement I discovered that it was filled with kindness and compassion. Sure there were the usual dollar store items but inside this amazing cache was a story.........Not just any story, the story of the tiny water beetle. This story touched me and once I read it I knew I held something very special. At that moment I decided this had to become a cache so others could benefit from the tiny water beetle, it's hopes, fears and transformation towards happiness.
This cache is placed exactly as we received it with the exception that I ate the chocolates and Apollo ate the cookies.
When you find this cache, please take a moment to read the story, it is in the baggie with the log book.
Thank you dragonfly61 for this wonderful treasure, I suspect Nathan is smiling right now.
Please replace the cache exactly as found.
There is a $5.00 gift card for FTF, compliments of dragonfly61.
