A couple of 'interesting' logs on the original cache caused me to carry out a cache inspection where I found some gardening had been done and the original cache removed. I discussed the matter with the proprietors and they were happy to have a cache placed near the establishment, but not where it previously had been. They suggested a couple of areas which meant the old cache was not viable in its present format, so I have replaced it with something else.
In the meantime I started my 'Wineries of Marlborough' series, so renaming the cache was a given.
The cache is a bright blue bison tube with a 'Rite in the Rain' log sheet. Please leave cap attached, unscrew bottom and remove log from top. When the paperwork is complete, roll up log and insert into cap then screw bottom back on.
At GZ you will find approximately 30 short rows of grapes. Each row is a different varietal which ripens at different times during the vintage. The proprietors are happy for the public to come a sample the different flavours so that you can see how they influence the wines that are produced from them.
