On the inside lid and logbook, look for a letter and number to plug into a formula for a puzzle cache.
Appropriately named, the Snow Bunting (Plectrophenax nivalis) is a bird of the high Arctic and snowy winter fields. They breed on rocky tundra, building an open cup nest of moss and grass, lined with fine grasses, rootlets, and fur and feathers. Placed well back in cavity in rocks, such as cracks. They winter as far south as the northern US, in open weedy and grassy fields, and along shores of lakes and oceans feeding on weed and grass seeds. I have often seen them along of the shoulder of the paved road here during the winter.
The container is a pill bottle containing a log book and some swag. You will need to bring your own writing instrument. There is plenty of parking on the wide road shoulder. This will be a little more difficult in the winter. Remember to get the code off the lid or logbook for the puzzle final.
