The Hardeveld lies north of the Knersvlakte and is an arid, sparsely populated area with Bitterfontein as its commercial centre. The hamlets of Molsvei, Stofkraal, Rietpoort and Putsekloof also fall within the region.
I consider this area to be one of the most beautiful and unique in the whole of South Africa, and is well worth a visit, especially in Springtime, with the flowers of the area drawing large numbers of tourists every year.
