This cache is very close to the original Roundhouse at the end of Omaha.
Crofton was the end of the line so all locomotives had to be turned aroudn at the roundhouse. In its hay day, up to six locomotives arrived here daily. Imagine carrying your luggage fromhere to the Argo several blocks north. The sources I found said that overnight lodging at the Argo was $1 a day. Railroad fees were 10 cents per mile per person.
