Inspired by the excellent GR244 Pueblos del Interior geocaching route with caches every 244m, we have placed 24 caches at roughly 359m intervals on the PR-A359. This starts officially at Las Balsillas in Alhama de Almería and is well signed with posts and paint marks. From Las Balsillas the route climbs for 1km and 110m of ascent before joining the circular walk between caches 13 and 14 (way point here).
We prefer to walk the circle from the A391 at Gatuna (cache 1) and walk anti-clockwise down to the Barranco de los Cazadores, to get the best views, and climb back up to Gatuna on the more shaded track.
The circular part of the walk is about 10.4km and can be walked in 4-5 hours plus searching time, so take water and food. It is graded medium difficulty and you should wear boots because the path is steep and stony in places.
If you are fairly quiet you may see some wildlife – fox, wild goat, eagle, woodpecker, rabbit and lots of small birds that live here.
Most of the caches are micros, but 3 are small and will take small TBs. Don’t forget to take a pen. Some co-ordinates are a bit dodgy because of the trees and terrain so there are spoiler photos to help

Inspirado por la excelente ruta de geocaching GR244 Pueblos del Interior con los caches situado cada 244m, hemos escondido 24 caches casi cada 359m en la sendero PR-A359. Este empieza en el barrio de las balsillas en alhama de almería y es marcado bien con postes y manchas de pintura. Desde las balsillas el sendero sube 110m en 1km antes llegando al sendero circular entre cache 13 y cache 14. (way point aquí).
Preferimos andar la ruta desde la gatuna en la carretera A391 (cache 1) y andamos contra del reloj, abajando al barranco de los cazadores para disfrutar las vistas impresionantes, y pues subir a la gatuna por el sendero mas sombrado.
Esta ruta circular esta mas o menos 10.4km y esta de 4-5 horas duración mas con el tiempo para buscando, entonces toma agua y comidas. La ruta tiene una dificultad media y necesita botas porque en varios sitios el terreno esta rocoso y empinado.
Andan con poco ruido y es posible a ver fauna y aves salvajes – zorro, cabra montesa, águila, carpintero, conejo y muchos pájarillos.
Muchos de los caches estan micro, pero 3 estan small de un tamaño para TBs pequeños. Recuerde a llevar un boli. Unos co-ords estan dudosos en falta de los arboles y el terreno, entonces hay unos fotos spoilers.
