Raven the Trickster has hidden his stash in Pop-Carr park. Worried that he'd lose his hiding place in the dark Alaskan winter, the Trickster left a trail of rubies and diamonds in the park leading to his stash. Little did Trickster know, but Bernie the dog was walking in the park one dark winter morning and spotted the wily raven leaving his trail. After consultation with the Bernie-crew, Bernie decided to share the starting location of the trail with his fellow geocachers. Bernie says all you have to do is head to the starting coordinates after dark and search for a diamond in the trees, then off you go! Trickster thought he'd be sneaky by alternating rubies with diamonds but Bernie says it's not hard to find the stash at all if you have a strong flashlight and just follow the pattern (red-white-red-white). If you find a ruby and diamond touching eachother, Trickster's stash is very near.
Pop-Carr park is a nice, semi-lit urban park. Bernie says trickster's stash is ideal for kids, who may want to bring sleds and snow clothes. Its probably findable in daylight, but considerably less fun. In summertime, with leaves on the trees the challenge would be much higher.
Bernie hopes that Trickster's stash will bring a little light to your dark winter geocaching days.
