Geocache Description:

A Walk in the Woods is a great book by Bill Bryson that I highly recommend, but that is beside the point.  This walk in the woods is Watkinsville Woods, our town's newest park.  Come check it out and get a smiley. Congrats to Lizzybeth13 and KalahariFox for Co-FTF

Watkinsville Woods is a nice new park on property formerly owned by Dr. Roy Ward.  The Ward family owned this property for decades and before his death, Dr. Ward sold it to the city for well below market value with the intention that it be preserved for the community to enjoy.  Come check it out.  The Jackson access is probably best for those driving.  You will have a short easy hike to the cache. From the Jackson Terrace parking it is about a quarter mile round trip. You can bike to the trailhead but no bikes allowed on the trails. Please recover after finding so it's not visible to muggles.
