Up, UP and Away 2 Traditional Cache

This cache is located at the Pembroke/Petawawa airport. It is located in a great spot to stop and watch the military SAR Para jumpers,  jumping from a Canadian Forces Hercules aircraft then floating down to land on the grass strip beside the runway. Snow friendly cache. Permission was granted to locate this cache on airport property. Please do not take pictures of the cache itself as this might ruin the experance for other caches. 

The Airport is strategically located just 2 km from Trans Canada Highway 17, and 5 km from the Town of Petawawa. We are a certified airport located in Petawawa, Ontario, 90 minutes west of Ottawa. We are the only certified airport between Carp and North Bay.

The Pembroke Airport is not only home to a private flying club but is also used by the Canadian Military who use the airport as a practice area for the SAR Para jumpers.
