The cache can be reached without leaving the path at the Cascades, a short detour on the way to the falls which are at the end of a 45m return walk in the Mangaokewa Reserve.
The Mangaokewa Reserve is located approximately a five minute drive south of Te Kuiti township adjacent to State Highway 30.
This Reserve offers picnic areas, an attractive bush walk to the Cascade Waterfalls. There is also a play area located in the reserve, swimming and other recreational opportunities. Public toilets are available within the picnic area.
