Der Owner Sweetwoodraspler aus Berlin ist leider im vergangenen Jahr unerwartet verstorben. Es gibt auch leider keine Kontaktperson auf dieser Insel, die diesen Cache pflegen oder adoptieren könnte. Seine restlichen Caches in Deutschland werden hier von Freunden weiter geführt.
Daher hier die Bitte an den nächsten Finder: Wenn Du den Cache gefunden hast, entferne bitte den Cachebehälter und entsorge ihn ordnungsgemäß. Logge den Fund und vermerke bitte dabei, dass du alles entfernt hast. Der Cache wird dann anschließend archiviert. Besten Dank für deine Mithilfe.

Órzola, ein kleines Fischerdorf am Ende der Welt - oder - Der verloren geglaubte
Cachebehälter im Norden Lanzarotes.
Órzola, a little fishermens-village at the edge of the world - or - The lost Cachebox
in the northern part of Lanzarote.
Órzola, una aldea de pezcadores en el punto más aislado del mundo - ó más bien -
el supuesto "cache perdido" al norte dela isla de Lanzarote.
Das wäre was geworden - der erste Cache in einer Erdumlaufbahn ! Ein Spektakulärer
D5 / T5 . Fast jedenfalls ! Alles war bestens vorbereitet, der ideale Ort und Zeitpunkt
gefunden, der Countdown lief bereits ....
Wir warteten gespannt am Startpunkt, dem Hafen von Órzola. Punkt 00:00 Uhr Ortszeit
sollte die riesige Silvesterrakete am 1. Januar 2017 mit einer voluminösen Blackbox als
Nutzlast starten. Lange hatten wir auf diesen Moment gewartet.
3 - 2 - 1 - Zero .....
Der Feststoffbooster entwickelte planmäßig seinen brachialen Schub, die Insel erzitterte,
der Boden bebte. Besorgte Mütter drückten ihre Kinder an sich, geschockte Hobbyfeuer-
werker ließen empört ihre Billigraketensortimente fallen.
Mit rasant ansteigender Geschwindigkeit nahm die Rakete Kurs auf die berechnete Bahn.
Doch dann - ein lauter Knall, ein Ball aus Funken & Sternchen, der nächtliche Himmel
über Lanzarote war hell erleuchtet, die Menge tobte und applaudierte spontan. Doch
wir wußten sofort, da ist etwas ganz furchtbar schiefgegangen.
Zuletzt sahen wir nur noch wie das Nutzlastmodul einen Kurs auf N 29° 13.452 ein-
nahm. Unser eigens am Órzolaer Leuchtfeuer platzierter Beobachter schrie kaum
verständliche Entfernungsangaben in sein Funkgerät, gefolgt von Worten ...... ...... ......
die wir hier lieber nicht wiedergeben möchten. W 013° 27.321 lautete die letzte Angabe
kurz vor dem Aufschlag von seiner Position aus.
Wir haben noch die restliche Nacht den Boden im Absturzgebiet abgesucht. Leider haben
wir nichts gefunden.

That would have been fantastic - the first cache to orbit the Earth ! It would have been
a spectacular D5 / T5. Almost, that is ..... !
Everything was perfectly planned, the ideal time and place were choosen, the countdown
was running .... And we were eagerly waiting at the startingpoint, at the harbour of Órzola.
At Midnight on the dot the huge New Year's Eve rocket was due to take off with a
voluminous blackbox in its payload hold. We had been waiting for this for a long time.
3 - 2 - 1 - 0 - Blastoff ! ....
The solid rocket booster develops its tremendous thrust as planned, the island trembles,
the ground shakes. Anxious mothers grab their children und hug them tightly, and shocked
amateur pyrotechnicians drop their discount fireworks in disgust. With increasing speed
the rocket takes course toward its calculated orbit. But then - a loud bang - and a ball of
sparks and stars light up the midnight sky over Lanzarote. The crowd cheers und break
out in applause.
But we knew at once that something had gone terribly wrong.
Then we discovered that the payload module had taken a course of N 29° 13.453 . Our
observer who was stationed at the Órzolas little lighthouse, shouted into his 2-way radio
some details about range that we couldn't understand, and then the words ....... ....... .......
which we did understand but don't want to repeat here.
The last distance from his position that he transmitted before the crash landing was
W 013° 27.321 .
We spent the rest of the night searching the ground at the crashsite, but unfortunately
we didn't find anything.

Qué sensación - el primer cache en órbita ! Un D5 / T5 espectacular, por poco.
Todo bien preparado, el lugar y el momento fijados, el countdown en marcha ya .....
Nosotros, en el puerto de Órzola, esperando el despegue con gran tensíon. A las
00:00 hora local del 1° de enero de 2017 debía despegar el cohete de nochevieja,
cargado de un blackbox voluminoso de carga útil. Mucho tiempo habíamos estado
esperando este momento.
...... 3 - 2 - 1 - cero .....
El aumentador de presión del combustible sólido produjo su empuje tremendo, la
isla tembló, el suelo se movía. Madres preocupadas tratando de proteger a sus
hijos abrazándolos y , chocados pirotécnicos aficionados soltaron sus cohetes
baratos viéndose frustrados. Acelerando tremendamente, el cohete adoptó el rumbo
precalculado. Pero entonces - un estallido muy fuerte, una bola de chispas y
estrellas iluminando el cielo nocturno sobre Lanzarote. La multitud soltando gritos
de alegría y aplaudiendo. Pero nosotros supimos de inmediato que había sucedido
algún fracaso terrible.
Al fin solo pudimos fijarnos en que el blackbox de carga útil tomó rumbo a N 29° 13.452.
Nuestro observador ubicado al lado del faro de Órzola gritaba unos detalles de
distancia en su celular, casi inaudible, siguiendo algunas palabrotas que preferimos
no repetir aquí...........
W 013° 27. 321 fué la última distancia desde su posición que transmitió poco antes
de la caída.
Buscamos por todo el terreno de la caída hasta la madrugada. Desgraciadamente no
hallamos nada.
