Geocache Description:

Both locals and foreigners like to hang out or go for a stroll along the river front when it gets cooler in the evening. Often there is a nice breeze too. Check it out! Very early morning or late afternoon is the nicest time to go for a walk – but the latter is also the busiest time… Beware of muggles! To find the coordinates for where the cache is hidden answer the following questions. Start at the coordinates given and move down south. (Answers b & c are words: A=1, B=2, C=3 etc.) a. How many flag poles are there to the south of these coordinates? (The starting coordinates are at the king’s shaded place to watch the boat races. A cacher has told me the number on Street View differs to the actual. Sorry!) b. The palace was built here because it overlooks the four-river-crossing: the river flowing north-south in the east is the Mekong. The river going down south along this riverfront (the west side) is called Bassac. What is the name of the westside-river coming from the north? (That is: sometimes this river is not flowing south but north! Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder! A place where a river changes direction twice a year…!) Answer: TONLE _ _ _ (add up the three numbers) c. Heading further south you will see a hotel that has the microbrewery. What is the name of the hotel? (You will see the name of the hotel as well as “microbrewery” from the path along the riverfront.) Answer: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ d. Looking down south you will be able to see ferries crossing to the other side of the river (to Areykhsath) – no need to go all the way to the ferry dock... But the question is: How many stories does the standard ferry have on which people can stand? Coordinates for the cache: N 11° 33.x E104° 56.y x = (a x b) + 45 y= (c x d) - d
