A cache is located in this small park that is in recognition of the services of two local people.
The first plaque is in remembrance of Sister Amy Dorrington who was tragically killed on 22nd December 1934 while on her way to attend to a man suffering a snake bite. The car she was traveling in crashed over a 300ft cliff after skidding off the road at Tunkalilla. Sister Dorrington was the only available person to attend to the injured man as the doctor was out of town. After help did not arrive, the man suffering from the snake bite was transported to Adelaide hospital in the back of a truck. He was found to have been scalded by boiling water. He said he had been bitten on the finger and after a gash had been made to drain the poison from the bite, boiling water was poured over his hand. He was treated for burns.

The second plaque is on a historic wooden horse watering trough which is a memorial to Tom Deagon Roberts in recognition of his community service to the Myponga District. In the 1870's Mr Ruben Eatts was contacted by the district council of Myponga to cut this red gum horse trough from a large red gum tree at Retreat Farm near Myponga Beach for a sum of 2 pound 10 The trough was originally placed 3 miles west of Myponga at "Clarkes Hill" where it was filled from a natural spring for the benefit of horses traveling between Adelaide and the settled areas west of Yankallila
