Another in the series of Kangaroo Island Conservation Parks.
Pelican Lagoon Conservation Park is a coastal strip which was dedicated in 1967 for the conservation of wildlife habitat. There are historical remains of former agricultural use including wells, orchards, sea walls, dykes and canals.
The lagoon south of Picnic Point is an aquatic reserve which provides a sanctuary for juvenile and adult fish. Although entry to the reserve is allowed, fishing is not.
Please take care on KI roads, most are unsealed and be especially careful at dusk/dawn/nighttime as the wildlife is abundant and often on the roads.
