Geocache Description:

This is a manipulative cache. A small TOTT is required but please be gentle.

L' Eau Qui Court, pronounced "Low Key Coor" means "water that runs." It is the French name for the river that the Native American tribes called the Niobrara. The current Knox County Nebraska was organized by the Territorial Legislature in 1857 and named L' Eau Qui Court. The name was changed to "Knox" by a statute passed on February 21, 1873, and took effect April 1, 1873. I think I liked the other name better.
