They do not recognize stars or any other celestial object in any regular pattern as contellations, more as stops in the void and the pattern changes in respect to where they are at the time.
Travel for them between these stops can be as long or short as they desire.
Getting from one stop to another may take a series of stops.
In order to return to this space in the universe, or for us or them to go where they originated, they have set up images of stops that we can understand and placed them in an object.
In order to find this object, your task is to look for those images and decipher what they mean and how to use them.
