Geocache Description:

Welcome to our first Geocache route in England. We hope you enjoy!

Flag Counter

This Geocache route should be around one hour, and this route may be walked the opposite way. This route has caches that should be relatively easy to find, although some are harder than others. On this walk, you will walk mainly on roads, but when you go through the trees it may be extremely muddy, so don't say I didn't warn you! Most caches are XS to S in size, and camo or magnetic, and you might find that a few caches have hooks on so replace them on the hook. (find more information in the unique cache information at the bottom)

Cache Recovery: If you believe a cache has gone missing, please message me and I will take a look in that same week, and if it is not there, I will replace it within 2 weeks. If you find a cache on the floor, let me know and quote the cache name or number and leave it on the floor (but out of sight of muggles) so I will know where it is.

Unique Cache Information: This cache is in a great place - perfectly out of way from muggles and just in reach of Geocachers.

Between Around the Block 2 and Around the Block 3, there is a church (Directly outside Church Micro 7589... Framingham Pigot (GC5Q7X3), a cache set by Barfy's) which was featured in the film 'Bridget Jones's Baby', more information is below!

Did you spot St Andrew's Church, Framingham Pigot, on the big screen?

Back in April this year the Churchwardens received an email from the Location Manager on the new Bridget Jones Film, "Bridget Jones's Baby". Some aerial footage of an interesting church was required, as part of the small amount of additional filming for the final edit of the film, & they had chosen St Andrew's.

After a number of weeks, during which special permissions were obtained from the Diocese; the landowner; there was much consultation of the weather forecasts for a dry & sunny day, the location crew arrived in Framingham Pigot. The method used for filming the aerial shots turned out to be a large Drone, which had blue & green coloured lights around it & sounded like a very noisy strimmer when it was in the air. Thankfully it didn't seem to scare the bullocks in the neighbouring field!

Everyone involved was sworn to secrecy until the official trailers for the film were released & a 'blink & you miss it' piece of footage appeared in Trailer No 2. By the time this article is published the film will have been on general release for a few weeks & so some of you may have been to see it & 'spotted' the church.

Thank you www.achurchnearyou.com for this information!
