This cache is part of the Virginia State Parks Get L.O.S.T. (Listen, Observe, Sense, Try) geocaching adventure. Each state park has a cache for this series, each with a unique collector’s card. There are small prizes for finding 5, 10, 20, and ALL of the caches. Most parks require a small parking fee while geocaching. This cache is a medium sized, clear lock-n-lock style container with a log book, pencil and collector’s card.
Park at the Cottonwood Trailhead in teh Massanutten pcinic shelter area. This is an easy trail, without any major hills, but it is not stroller or wheelchair accessible because of numerous rocks and tree roots on the path. You will have to cross a very small stream and be sure to stay on Cottonwood Trail.
