This cache is part of the Virginia State Parks Get L.O.S.T. (Listen, Observe, Sense, Try) geocaching adventure. Each state park has a cache for this series, each with a unique collector’s card. There are small prizes for finding 5, 10, 20, and ALL of the caches. Most parks require a small parking fee while geocaching. This cache is a medium sized, clear lock-n-lock style container with a log book, pencil and collector’s card.
Go south from the Amphitheater Parking Lot following the edge of the woods. The grass between the road and the trees offers an easy and level route. The path eventually opens up to a field and the butterfly garden with a picnic table that can be seen just down the hill. The cache is located somewhere nearby.
