About SideTracked Caches

This Cache belongs to the SideTracked Series. SideTracked caches at former stations (i.e. now unused or heritage) are prefaced with REALLY.

More information on the series can be found at the SideTracked website here.

About Beckford Station

Opened in 1864 and operated by Midland Railway, the line ran from Evesham to Ashchurch, calling at Bengeworth, Ashton Under Hill, Beckford and Ashchurch. Don't expect a breathtaking view here in Beckford, but stand on the bridge and catch glimpses through the hawthorn hedge and imagine how it looked in 1963, the year of its closure. The station house is now a private residence.

For some really good Beckford Station photos from olden times to 2005, maps and information see here.

Postcard of Beckford Station in its heyday.

You can park near Beckford village Post Office and it only takes three or four minutes amble to get to the railway bridge along Station Road. Please bring your own pen and possibly tweezers.
