This geocache is placed on a tree farm outside of Abbeville. We have found many hidden treasures on the land throughout the years and this site was one of my favorites to play around as a kid. Park at the designated parking coordinates so the property owners know what you are doing and follow the trail. ONLY LOOK IN THE DAYTIME. No night caching allowed. That is Santa's time to be there.
December 24th, 1937
Dear diary,
We just moved to our new home earlier this year and it's almost over. The house is nicer than the last place we lived. It smells like cattle because of the farm we live on but it still fits all of us well. We even have a fireplace! I've never lived in a home with a fire place before. It is much easier than cooking everything outside even when it is raining. I hear from the other families kids that if you were good all year and fall asleep early that night Santa Clause will visit you. I can't wait to see what he brings me. Maybe this year I'll get a christmas penny.
