Pull off into the parking non-paved parking lot. There is a trail that runs underneath the power lines. Follow that trail into the edge of the cedar tree forest where you can either make a right or a left. Make a RIGHT!
This is a nice and simple Geocache. The parking is close and it is a pleasant 5 minute walk to the cache. The cache is located in an ammo box at the base of a sprawling juniper tree. The trail is callled the Madrone Trail because of all the Madrone trees that grow up and around the trail and this area. Typically, in the hill country, only juniper (what we call cedar) and oak trees grow. SO for us it is nice, pleasant and noticable for another species to be creeping and crawling in the forest.
