My 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son's (Smith Kids) first hide! NOT ON NEARBY MILITARY BASE full public access to parking and trails. This cache barely scratches the surface on the public trails in this location - couldnt beleive there wasnt already one here.
They had walked this trail before and then I got them into GEOCACHING this fall. They logged 21 finds (okay I had to help woth locating about 5) in two days and were hooked. I told them they could make their own and they were excited. They left a little swag and a trackable to get things started.
They re-walked this path, picked the general location and specific hiding spot themselves (Therefore it is very kid friendly and no hint shouuld be needed - your geosenses will lead you right to it).
Pick your path - lots of scenery to see - you dont have to stray from the path far to find this small but traditional cache. You can keep traveling trails well beyond where this cache is located and I hope to see more caches out there soon.
They are looking forward to checking on this regularly so please leave some fun swag or drawings or stickers or something young kids can enjoy finding and moving on.
ENJOY!!!
