If you want to explore one of the finest waterfalls in Wisconsin without any of the constraints of the State Parks, then Potato River Falls is for you. A fantastic cascade, you are free to get as close as you want off trail or enjoy the view from the observation deck. Trails lead to the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls from the parking area. Park amenities include picnic shelter, pit toilets, trails and observation decks. Cache is located near the Lower Falls. Insider's tip: We hid this cache in the Winter while visiting our rental property and the frozen waterfall was simply stunning! With many pine and hemlock in the area, the Winter's hike is really quite beautiful.
