Geocache Description:

This is a rail to trails caching area called The Conotton Creek trail. It goes through Jewett, Scio, Conotton and Bowerstown. The area used to be a part of the connection of rail ways from Erie, Pa. to Wheeling WV. The trail is paved in some parts of the trail and in other places it is crushed stone. There are several benches to take breaks while doing this trail. There are also a couple of covered bridges along the way. The local boyscouts did work on the covered bridges.

The Conotton Creek Trail is one of approximately 3 dozen trails in Ohio to recieve an award for being a millenium trail. The trail is about 11.4 miles one way.

Rules:

1) Not to be done at night. Trail is open from dawn to dusk

2) You bring in and either find a garbage can or take out with you.

3) Be alert on your search watch for MUGGLES

4) There are a couple road crossings so be alert to your surroundings when crossing
