Geocache Description:

Site of the 1798 memorial, which was stolen, tree planted there now.

The Battle of Tara Hill was fought on the evening of 26 May 1798 between British forces and Irish rebels involved in the Irish rebeliion of 1798, resulting in a heavy defeat for the rebels and the end of the rebellion in County Meath.
