Geocache Description:

Selamat datang ke Jesselton

(english version down below)

Welcome to Jesselton the former entrance to Borneo. This pier or jetty was where all boat arrived for Sabah/ Borneo. Jesselton was also the name of the town before it was renamed to Kota Kinabalu. Nowadays Jesselton Point is a famous gateway for daytrips to the nearby islands and for diving trips in the area of Kota Kinabalu. Especially in the morning hours it can be very busy and crowded but still is worth to be visited.

Besides Atkinsons Clocktower, some old buildings around Gaya Street, Jesselton Point is one of the last remaining from the British history of the City.
