It has been less than 200 years since the first white man viewed the area of the Lower Fraser Valley. The Native peoples have been inhabitants of this area for more than 5000 years. This WhereIgo is an attempt to lead you through about 125 of those years using public art in the City of Langley.
The starting point will be the parking lot of the Timms Recreation Center in downtown Langley.
There is plenty of parking, coffee shops and restaurants in the area.

The City of Langley has refurbished many of the carvings and to "hide" the repairs, the carvings have been colourized. Not sure if I am a fan but better than losing them to the elements.
Much of the info is from the plaques you will visit or from "Nothing Without Effort - A History of Langley" by Warren Sommer.
