Another in the series of Kangaroo Island Conservation Parks.
Lashmar Conservation Park was proclaimed in 1993. The Lashmar Lagoon which is a significant wetland is located within the park boundary. The park adjoins the long sandy beach of Antechamber Bay. Swimming, fishing, canoeing and birdwatching are all listed as things to do in this Conservation Park. We enjoyed kayaking on the Chapman River near the cache location on the day we placed the cache.
There is an excellent picnic area and large shelter shed with a BBQ on the other side of the river, which is well worth a visit.
Please take care on KI roads, most are unsealed and be especially careful at dusk/dawn/nighttime as the wildlife is abundant and often on the roads.
