Legend has it that this plaque was erected by the owner of the Kingerby estate in the late 19th century, after cattle on the estate were spared from a disease ravaging neighbouring farms. The disease progressed no further than the farm you see in front of you, hence the plaque's location.
Regular litter-picks are organised along this lane, so please leave the cache tucked away under its little pile of twigs if possible. Gloves may be needed.
