Birkenhead Domain and Eskdale Bush Scenic Reserve have native trees, nikau palms and ti-trees. The sounds of the bush and the stream give you the illusion of remoteness. The main track is in good repair, and the minor tracks have loose stones and roots. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Expect mud in winter! Be prepared for dog walkers (dogs on-leash).
You are looking for a regular sized container hidden just off the trail. Lots of room for travel bugs and swaps. BYOP.
