Cache Description
This should be an easy find. The cache is a small white container hidden along with the other summit registers under some rocks. As usual, make sure to properly close and hide everything afterwards. There is a pen in the cache, but bring something to write with anyway.
Route Description
This will be a full day's hiking of at least 10 hours. Carry enough water and food to last the whole trip and make sure to bring warm, waterproof clothing in case the weather turns bad. Permits for the Miaspoort trail cost R40pp, or free for WildCard members, and can be obtained at the CapeNature Paarl Office (021 871 1535) or Du Kloof Lodge.
Start at either of the two indicated parking areas and walk over to the trailhead. Follow the trail all the way up until you reach the turn-off point. Cross the grassy plains and marshes to the start of the boulder covered ridge and follow the cairns and waypoints leading to the top. Be prepared for some mild scrambling on the ridge.
Total distance to the summit is about 6km with 1000m of ascent taking about 5 hours.
