This is a 5 stage letterbox. But don't worry...all of the stages are within the library itself.

Available Hours during the school year are:
8:00am - 10:00pm Monday-Thursday
8:00am - 4:30pm Friday
10:30am - 4:30pm Saturday
2:00pm - 10:00pm Sunday
For library website and hours go to library.csum.edu (with no www. first)

Don't worry about looking like a muggle. I can already guarantee you will stand out here if you come during the school year since the students all wear uniforms.

There is a parking fee if you park on campus, but there are a few 30 minute parking spots if you think that you are a quick puzzle solver. Otherwise, you can park on Country Lane Drive and walk in.

The Puzzle:
You are solving for the call number for the book which is:
## ABC 0 . & DEF S48 1994

Stage 1: Find the poster that explains how the Library of Congress classification system works. The book you are looking for is classified as "American Literature"
## = the two letters

Stage 2: Look to your left. There is a quote on the wall. You are going to count how many words it takes to get to get to the following three words: -
A = go
B = to
C = seas
(Example: "must" = 2)
These words give you A B and C

The next digit is 0

Stage 3: Go back to the Library of Congress Classification poster and see what letter "History, United States (General)" is.
& = one letter

Stage 4:
This stage will take you to a picture of the aft end of a ship and has the information needed to figure out D, E, and F.

D = # of letters in the first word
E = the last digit of the seven digit number
F = the first digit of the seven digit number

Stage 5:
The rest of the numbers are: S48 1994 Now go find the cache!
The call number for the book is:

## ABC 0 . & DEF S48 1994
The cache has a logbook paper attached for the geocache log and a booklet for collecting letterbox stamps. The stamp is labeled "Not for Trade" and needs to stay in the cache. (Please replace it on the paper so the ink doesn't get everywhere.)

There are library buttons in the cache for people to take. If the cache runs out of CMA Library SWAG buttons let one of the librarians know.
