Geocache Description:

The loop starts in Shaldon and follows the estuary into Ringmore. It climbs onto the hills around the villages and affords some lovely views. The walk is about 4 ½ miles long and starts off flat with proper paths around the villages, but gets steep and very muddy at times when following the green lanes and the coastal path. Walking boots are highly recommended and wellies may be even better if there has been heavy rain recently. The loop contains a range of different containers, please be careful around Shaldon as this is an area with a great deal of footfall and there are plenty of prying eyes!

This is a new addition to the series as one of the caches further round the loop has had to be archived. For parking information have a look at number one in the series. A pretty straightforward find with a view of the estuary which can look spectacular when full of water on a bright sunny day - a little less so when the tide is out and the weather is grey. Take a seat and enjoy the view. To your right - assuming you're not looking at the playing fields behind - is the Shaldon bridge, if the wind is in the right direction the bridge has been known to whistle. From bitter experience this is not good weather for caching!
