大沙河發源於羊台山，縱貫深圳市南山區，全長13.7公里，上游分左右兩條支流，分別建有西麗水庫和長岭皮水庫，下游匯入深圳灣。大沙河的流程較長、河面較寬，為使流水不腐，生態補水成為河流整治的關鍵環節。近幾年來，經過截汙、補水、綠化等綜合治理工程，大沙河的區域水環境和人居環境得到改善，成為深圳一條生態綠廊。
