2016 was the Year of the Olympics, so after watching the summer Olympics, I was inspired to design my first Olympic Sized Competition geocache. You can find and log this cache on your own, BUT.... since this cache was inspired by the 2016 Olympics it is better found with a partner since this is a competition geocache. Finding the cache will be easy...Now the hard part is to test your memory. Both sides of the cache are designed the same...there are multiple olympic events that are all covered with small doors on hinges. Just like the game of memory, you will have to open each 'window' and see what olympic event is behind it... as you flip them open, one by one, you will eventually find the matches. There are 4 matches ( 8 windows) Notice that each event is associated with a LETTER and a NUMBER. This is important considering the combination to the lock is BADC, Find the Olympic events that match, and voila, you will have the combination. Hurry though, since this is a competition geocache, the door to the 'baton' opens from both sides, and it is a race to see who can solve the puzzle, unlock the combination and grab the 'baton' inside. With 'baton' in hand, you will be able to unlock the Ammo can with the logbooks and SWAG. Notice that there are 2 log books inside. If you were the first to grab the baton, then you get to sign the Gold Medal logbook, and your partner signs the Silver medal logbook! Have fun and if you enjoyed this cache, I do appreciate when a favortie point is added letting other cachers know this was a unique and fun cache to visit
