La vallée du Bijou
L’industrie du bijou existe dans les Boutières depuis le XIXe siècle.
C’est en 1868 que le premier atelier a ouvert ses portes à Saint-Martin-de-Valamas, le territoire offrant alors un potentiel de main-d’œuvre et de force motrice hydraulique. En 1906, création de MSR Bijoux, et en 1917, Georges Legros crée l’entreprise GL.
Aujourd’hui, ce métier d’art est toujours présent sur le territoire, avec le groupe GL, MSR Bijoux et de nombreux artisans installés au fil du temps : Créafusion en 1996, Font’Art en 1999, OKTANE en 2011 .....

The Jewel Valley
