The Beachcombers is a classic Canadian TV show that was filmed over an amazing 21 year period, from 1969-1990 It was filmed by the CBC in Gibsons, British Columbia, which is located on the Sunshine Coast. Several parts of the TV set are still found in Gibsons today including the famous diner Molly's Reach, and Nick's tugboat the Persephone.
While the park with this cache may be located nowhere near the Sunshine Coast, it is still called Gibson's Park and frequently reminds visitors of the TV show that they used to love watching.
