Trail Crossing Traditional Cache

This cache is placed on the road leading to Fort Fordyce situated high up in the mountains overlooking the mountains of Katberg, Gaika's Kop and the Three Hogs.

This area is rich in history of the Kaffrarian Battles and there are beautiful circular hiking trails in the surrounding forests. It is well worth a weekend or day off to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the beauty of the mountains. Entry to this nature reserve is free and there are picnic sites as well as camp sites and chalet accommodation. Booking can be done through the East Cape Tourism.
