The Manitoba Geocaching Association cache hiding contest objective is to get cachers out during our long winter months. The rules for the caches are simple: cache must be winter friendly as indicated by the winter friendly attribute; the cache name must contain the word “SNOW” and, the caches must be published between January 1 and March 31, 2017. This cache was put out with these guidelines in mind.
Dating back over 500 years, the North American Indians developed a game where a wooden stick was thrown down a trough or track during the long winters to keep the hunters skills up and to occupy the children’s time. In this case, a “Snow Dart” was a shaped stick or bone that was no more than 6 inches in length. Find the other “Snow Snake” caches for more information.
