Welcome to Johnson Tew Park and arboretum. This is the area's first arboretum, and will feature over 400 native and ornamental trees planted over a four-year period. There is also a wonderful play structure for the kids, a sun shelter, park benches, interpretive signs and 1.8 km worth of paved trails. This cache is placed at the lookout, where you will have a great view of the Lafarge Dundas Quarry.
Johnson Tew (1869-1948) was a Reeve for West Flamborough and the Township of West Flamborough. He was also warden of the County of Wentworth, and served as school trustee. His land holdings included the falls which today bear his name. This park is located on what was part of the Tew's family farm.
