So over the last week or so, we've fallen in love with night skiing at Pippy Park. There may not be a lot of snow, but there is more than enough to enjoy the loops of the campground on our cross country skis.
While we have gone skiing in the daylight hours in the past, we just tried Pippy at night this week, and it is amazing. Main Street and the large lower two loops are well lit by small 'streetlights', and snowshoers, skiers, and dog walkers were enjoying the trails. Add to this the moonlight of a nearly full moon, and you've got an amazing evening...
But if only there was a geocache here, too?
There is now!
The cache is a small container, containing a logsheet and TB upon initial hide. We have marked the cache as being wheelchair accessible, since a person in a 'hiking style' wheelchair could get to the cache, retrieve it and replace it. In the summertime this cache would be easily wheelchair accessible with any regular wheelchair.
Happy skiing, snowshoeing and hiking folks... and let's keep the winter geocaching going, too!
