Starting a new series of geocaches to connect to existing geocaches making a power trail along the 1913 alignment of the Lincoln Highway through LaPorte County. We are hopeful that this power trail will continue to grow and evolve along this grand old highway. Maybe we can get a Coast to Coast power trail from the terminus at Times Square in New York City to the terminus in San Francisco.
This trail is placed to fill the needs of many; FTF hounds, streakers, numbers runners, or the cachers that need their quick cache fix. There is nothing special or creative about most of these caches. Most should be pretty straight forward P and G's. A few may require a little thought.
*PLEASE* Practice safe highway caching by signaling before pulling your geo-mobile completely off the highway, using your four way hazard signals while parked along the side of the highway and by signaling and ensuring that the highway is clear before re-entering.
In addition, try to be good ambassadors for geocaching by practicing CITO habits around the areas the geocaches are placed.
LASTLY... Welcome to the "Lincoln Highway Power Trail!"
