Geocache Description:

A hastily put together cache to help contribute to the Hag X111 event for 2017.

We did some quick research that revealed information we had never taken the time to explore for many years and which we had long ago forgotten.

Because we think we are among the luckiest people in Canada having chosen to live on beautiful Vancouver Island (except for the ferry fares to get off the Island), we discovered in our research that Vancouver Island became a part of British Columbia in 1866 and that British Columbia was the sixth Province to become a part of Canada.

Another interesting bit of information we learned was that British Columbia has an area of 925,186 km which is the second largest area behind Quebec which has 1,356,128 km.  The difference which stood out for us was the population of Quebec is listed at 8,214,700 as compared to British Columbia at 4,631,300.  Not liking heavily populated areas, it confirms why we live where we do.

Hopefully everyone will enjoy the Hag caches put out by others and as always, a huge shout out to Cache Crop and Amandazon for their effort of making this happen again.

As always, if your signature is not on the log (BRING YOUR OWN WRITING UTENSIL), your log will be deleted.
