Lake Houston City Park has a long history. Before it was purchased by the state, and then the city of Houston, it was a Girls Scouts of America camp for decades. It was simply known as "Camp Peach Creek," named after the creek that lies under the long walking bridge. So, it's only fitting that this container, although placed by Boy Scout Troops 9, 839 and 1011 of Kingwood, is an old tin Girl Scout mint box.
There are many old Girl Scout buildings which are still being used today. Begin your search with that in mind.
