O passeio no Parque Estadual do Guartelá pode ser feito de duas maneiras: a chamada trilha básica, que é autoguiada, ou seja, o visitante pode fazer sozinho. São cerca de 5,2 quilômetros de caminhada (ida e volta) até os pontos principais do parque. A outra é chamada de trilha completa, com cerca de 8 quilômetros de extensão, onde é obrigatório o acompanhamento de um guia especializado.
Vamos falar dos atrativos da trilha básica. Como itens obrigatórios, leve água, lanche rápido (como barra de cereal), filtro solar, repelente e, claro, câmera fotográfica! Use roupas confortáveis e calçado adequado para caminhada. A entrada no parque é gratuita, basta preencher um cadastro simples e receber as orientações da equipe de conservação do parque. A trilha é muito bem conversada e com boa sinalização. É possível encontrar alguns animais silvestres que vivem por ali. O primeiro atrativo são os panelões do sumidouro, que formam piscinas naturais nas pedras, onde é permitido tomar banho.
Caminhando por mais 1 quilômetro, chega-se ao mirante do cânion Guartelá. Com 32 quilômetros de extensão, o cânion é serpenteado pelo rio Iapó. Os maiores vales podem ter até 450 metros de profundidade. Tudo lá é imenso, a vista panorâmica do mirante é surpreendente.
Ao lado direito do mirante, fica a cachoeira da Ponte de Pedra. Caminhando mais 500 metros, é possível alcançar o mirante natural que dá vista privilegiada à cachoeira. A queda tem dois níveis de altura e entre a primeira e a segunda há uma incrível ponte de pedra, esculpida pela natureza. Sensacional! O percurso de ida e volta da trilha básica leva cerca de 2h30.
The walk in Guartelá State Park can be done in two ways: the so-called basic trail, which is self-guided, that is, the visitor can do alone. It is about 5,2 kilometers of walk (round trip) to the main points of the park. The other is called a complete trail, with about 8 kilometers of length, where it is mandatory the accompaniment of a specialized guide.
Let's talk about the attractions of the basic trail. As required items, carry water, fast snack (like cereal bar), sunscreen, repellent and of course camera! Wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking. Entry into the park is free, just fill out a simple registration and receive the guidance from the park conservation team. The trail is very well conversed and with good signage. It is possible to find some wild animals that live there. The first attraction is the sinkholes, which form natural pools on the rocks, where it is allowed to bathe.
Walking for another kilometer, you come to the viewpoint of the Guartelá Canyon. With 32 kilometers of extension, the canyon is meandered by the river Iapó. The largest valleys can be up to 450 meters deep. Everything there is immense, the panoramic view from the belvedere is amazing.
To the right side of the viewpoint, is the waterfall of Ponte de Pedra. Walking 500 meters further, it is possible to reach the natural viewpoint that gives a privileged view to the waterfall. The fall has two levels of height and between the first and second there is an incredible stone bridge, carved by nature. Sensational! The round trip of the basic trail takes around 2h30.
