Geocache Description:

Welcome to the City of Toledo's Fall Meyer Park. This is another of the City's undeveloped parks. It is 2.8 acres of land behind an apartment complex and next to the well maintained grounds of the former Fall Meyer Elementary School. The school was demolished in 2011. This park is leftover land from when the apartments and school were built. Why it was not annexed to an adjacent property is not known. The closer you get to the apartments, the more the park is used as a dumping ground.

Parking coordinates are provided for the best place to park (the parking strip along Krieger Drive). There is soon to be construction in that lot and that may block access from the given parking coords. If so an alternate parking location is given however, that location will require walking through an unmowed field.

From the parking area, walk across the well maintained school grounds in the general direction of the cache. The school grounds are still owned by the Toledo Public School (TPS) Board.  We have permission from TPS to walk on their land (doing geocaching). There is a chain-link fence between the former school grounds and the undeveloped city park and apartment complex.   There is a large break between the end of the fence and the creek in the Northeast corner of the school grounds.     You will have very little brush bashing if you access Fall Meyer Park from that point (as opposed to using the apartment complex parking lot).

The cache is initially stocked with SWAG and has room for medium sized TBs.

FTFer(s) can have their pick of the SWAG as a prize, if desired.
